My interest in drawing originates from a curiosity of how things are interconnected; how light, space and materiality interact with one another.  Drawing with charcoal allows me to explore these relationships through an evocative technique to showcase the quality of places - highlighting the interplay between light and and the surfaces upon which it reflects.

BIO:

Mo received her Master of Architecture degree from Yale University and her Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from the University of Virginia.

Mo is an Associate Professor of Architecture at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She is the author of The Architectural Drawing Course published in 2008 by Barron’s in the US and by Thames and Hudson in the UK. She has been awarded numerous grants that have been instrumental in completing her book and design research. Mo is a registered architect in Massachusetts.
