Artist Statement:

I am inspired by colors found in nature, especially sky and water.  I capture these beautiful images with photography and later paint them on canvas.  For most of my life, painting has been a hobby, while professionally I used these colors to create therapeutic environments.  My art provides a  peaceful distant vista for meditation and relaxation.  Only recently, has Art found a home in my work. 

Bio

Born and raised in Milwaukee, Sheila's parents were creative mentors.  Her mother was an artist, and her father loved photography.  Educated in architectural design, Sheila later received credentials in professional interior design.  Her career includes over 20 years working for local architecture firms, and has been awarded 4 professional interior design awards.  In November 2010, she created Sheila Semrou Consulting, LLC - a business focusing on planning and interior design.
